Environmental Policy

We are a small, specialist company and due to the administrative costs involved we are not currently audited for FSC chain-of-custody but can assure our customers that all the timbers that we purchase are FSC or PEFC certificated by our suppliers.

We also refuse to sell any timbers listed as endangered by the Forestry Stewardship Council, Greenpeace and WWF. These include Iroko, Sapele, Wenge, Mahogany & Merbau. Many of these endangered woods are illegally logged too which has devastating social effects on communities as well as on the environment.

Additionally, we operate ‘Environmental Best Practice for Business’ in all other areas of our business, including energy consumption – Electricity, heating, lighting and water. We also recycle 90% of our business waste – Wood chips & dust, waste paper, cardboard packaging, glass, metals, ink toners and IT equipment.
